Elektronik-Sachse Digital Ignition ZDG3

Made in Germany! Very reliable, shock & water proof. Very often used in classic endurance races because this system is really bullit proof! Completly adjustable and easy to install. 9 ignition curves are available. The digital ignition ZDG3 replaces the centrifugal governor and contacts or TCI ignition. Function: per revolution of the crankshaft starting from TDC 300 ° determines the momentary peripheral speed and calculates the time to ignition. Since substantial change in the peripheral speed during one revolution during acceleration, this long measurement was selected in order to the exact measurement. The subsequent calculation of the ignition timing is divided into 4 areas. The measurement is achieved by Hall sensors, which are characterized by a high temperature range (150 °). When the engine is stopped to protect the coils, the current is switched off after about 5 seconds.
